Charter of Use of the Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization (CIVI)

The Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization (CIVI) is also referred to as a "virtual collaboration platform" for the purposes of this document, or simply "platform" or "CIVI". The CIVI is the property of the Alliance of Cultural Communities for Equality in Health and Social Services (ACCÉSSS)

The Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization (CIVI) welcomes individual and organizational members such as bodies and associations related to immunization, health professionals, instructors, members of the industry related to immunization, in addition to students who exchange and collaborate with each other on issues related to immunization and access to it by all sections of the population. Publications can be made in both French and English. An automatic translation module will be made available. 

The CIVI is a restricted-use platform and each member must be accepted by a moderator attached to the organization to which it belongs, namely the “Alliance of cultural communities for equality in health and social services” (ACCÉSSS) before be able to access and contribute to it.

How can one responsibly use the Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization (CIVI)?

By adopting good practices

Each user is personally responsible for the content they publish, but also towards other users. In this logic, users must be aware of and comply with the practices listed below:

  • The moderator of the platform gives themselves the right to deploy automated technologies in order to detect any violent or inappropriate content that may harm the Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization (CIVI), the people who use it as well as third parties.

  • As a member, you should report any negative behavior observed within the Virtual Immunization Community of Interest (CIVI). Any message or content that you deem inappropriate and / or violating the community’s charter herein, must be reported to the moderators of the Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization (CIVI) using the "report a post" option or to a platform administrator directly.

  • As members, you are encouraged to contribute regularly by favoring active behavior on the platform. This in order to participate in the life of the community through a real contribution of expertise and good practices in immunization as well as accessibility. 

  • Exchange in a respectful and professional manner, notably through the use of appropriate language.

  • Carry out your activities on the virtual interest platform with honesty, diligence and responsibility, in accordance with the principles governed by the professional codes governing your organization, professional practice or professional / academic status.

By prohibiting bad practices

In order to ensure the responsible use of the collaborative platform, and in accordance with the charter of good use of the Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization (CIVI), the following practices are prohibited:

  • Hide your identity, impersonate another person, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

  • Create or display illegal, discriminatory, dangerous, fraudulent, misleading content

  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization (CIVI) or with the use of the virtual platform by another person.

  • Bypass access controls, or attempt to obtain permission to access the Virtual Immunization Community of Interest (CIVI) or its systems, passwords and associated accounts of any kind. 

  • Upload viruses, programs or malicious codes, or do anything that could damage, disable, overload or degrade the Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization (CIVI) platform and associated systems (such as an attack on acquiring service or interference with page display or any other functionality of the Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization [CIVI].

  • Using the Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization [CIVI] to conduct business sales, or to convey any kind of commercial or marketing messages.

The rules set out above apply to all of the discussion areas available on the Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization [CIVI]. This includes, in particular, the modules allowing private conversations.

Confidentiality and content sharing

The Virtual Immunization Community of Interest [CIVI] is not available to the general public. Note that administrators responsible for managing the Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization [CIVI] platform can access all member publications.

Please refer to your organization’s privacy policy to ensure that you are aware of the type of information classified confidential.

  • Never discuss or divulge confidential, private or personal information of an organization.

  • Do not attach confidential documents to your message and do not cut / paste confidential information from the Virtual Immunization Community of Interest [CIVI] for use on any other platform or computer. If you are in doubt about the confidentiality of any information, do not post or refer to your organization’s privacy policy.

  • No information should be used for personal benefit that would contravene legal provisions or pose prejudice on ethical objectives and legitimate objectives of their organization.

Intellectual property and rebroadcasting rights of existing material on the Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization [CIVI]

Each user must comply with the laws and regulations in force, in particular with regards to the laws governing intellectual property, copyrights and trademarks. Specifically, any publication made on the Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization [CIVI] must respect copyright, trademark rights, design rights and image rights.

Your data may be deleted or limited if their content is deemed illegal and / or if they do not comply with the charter of good use herein. The moderator will then notify you within a reasonable amount of time if such action is taken, unless prohibited by law. Moreover, any user who does not respect the CIVI's charter of good use is liable to expulsion as a member of the platform.

Service commitment

The comments made by members on the Virtual Community of Interest on Immunization [CIVI], whether the groups "open", "closed", "secret", or WorkChat, do not commit in any case the owner association [the Alliance of cultural communities for equality in health and social services – ACCESSS] in any way whatsoever.
